How to Use Peg's Salt Microwave Popper

Peg's Popcorn Popper delivers perfect popcorn every time, once you determine the best method for your home. Different microwaves and other types of popcorn may call for adjustments. You'll find that adding the oil and salt BEFORE popping coats each kernel with savory flavor, sparing you extra pans and effort. So easy, so delicious.

  • Expand the bowl to its full height.
  • Pour 1/4 cup (bottom fill line) to 1/3 cup (upper fill line) of popcorn kernels into the popper. Do not overfill.
  • Add one to two tablespoons of olive oil. NOTE: Oil is not required, but we recommend it--especially olive oil--because it improves texture and flavor. Other types of oil also work.
  • Sprinkle about 1/2-1 teaspoon of Peg’s Popcorn Salt over the kernels. (Adjust to taste.)
  • Mix the popcorn kernels, oil, and salt.
  • Place the lid inside the popper.

  • Microwave for two to four minutes.
  • Stand by and listen to the popcorn! When popping slows (about two to three seconds between pops), stop the microwave. Don't wait too long. The time between perfection and burnt popcorn is short.

  • Carefully remove the popper (it will be hot!) and remove the lid.
  • Empty the popcorn into a bowl. Taste it. YUM!

  • Toss a few kernels to the dog. Rave, exclaim, and celebrate. Make another batch because everyone in the house will want some.
