My mother, Peg, created this seasoned salt in the 1970s in Ohio and gave it away to friends and family throughout her life. Once people tried some, they didn't want to cook without it because it enhances flavor without making foods taste alike. I pestered Mom about writing down the recipe, which she finally did. After she passed away, I continued to make and share it. The reaction was always the same: people wanted more.
Peg's Salt launched in October 2012 and it is now a household staple in thousands of homes. The magical thing about Mom's creation -- besides the unique effect it has on food -- is the way people share it with friends and family... just like she shared it in the very beginning. I know that has something to do with love and family and the gift of cooking. Mom would be so proud to see so many enjoying her creation.
